When I was young, I always heard the same thing:
“Farmers are not paid their fair value.”

And I saw it around me, in the Basque Country. My relatives worked hard every day to produce quality—but they weren't the ones setting the prices. They were told: “This is the price, period.” And they had no choice. It was either that, or you go under.

Add to that the morning and evening milking, caring for the animals three times a day, the paperwork, the pressure... And despite all this work, sometimes there's barely enough to live on.

One day, I said to myself: “This is not right. If no one does it, I'll do it.”

I am an agricultural engineer. I know the field. And I wanted to free these producers from the clutches of the agro-industry—without asking them to become web pros or full-time salespeople.

That's when FarmUni was born.

A simple marketplace. Where each producer can present themselves, sell, and above all, set their own prices. Where you, the consumers, can finally buy directly from the source, without middlemen.

But I wanted to go further. To give those who don't have producers around them the chance to discover these flavors.

That's how the FarmUni Box was born:

a surprise selection of farm products that I know personally, sent directly to your home.
